Motionhouse’s physical, dynamic dancers’ inspiration is the majesty and savagery of water in their stunning show entitled “Scattered.” The performance draws on theatre, acrobatics and film, incorporating a curved floor bathed in video that disappears skyward. Motionhouse is one of the United Kingdom’s foremost dance theatre companies, touring award-winning productions throughout the world.

“Motionhouse’s work is some of the most startling and original performance-based contemporary dance,” notes Sir Richard Taylor,

creator of special effects for the Lord of the Rings films.  "The sheer talent of the performers leaves the viewer utterly amazed.''

Dance Brazil’s high-powered fusion of Afro-Brazilian movement and modern dance brings athletic energy and grace to the Staller Center stage. The moves of the ensemble are inspired by capoeira, a uniquely Brazilian form that combines martial arts and dance. Artistic director Jelon Vieira’s new work, which premiered at New York City’s Joyce Theater in the spring of 2012, “Dance Like a Fight – Fight Like A Dance,” crystallized their style in a title.

Enjoy the ensemble’s dazzling artistry inspired by
the cultural tapestry of Brazil.

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is a marvelous company of male dancers performing the full range of the ballet and modern dance repertoire, including classical and original works in faithful renditions of the manners and conceits of those dance styles.

The “Trocks” comedy is achieved by incorporating and exaggerating the foibles, accidents, and underlying incongruities of serious dance.
Men dance all the parts—heavy bodies delicately balancing on toes as swans, sylphs, water sprites, romantic princesses, and angst-ridden Victorian ladies. Their performance will delight and amuse the most knowledgeable dance fans as well as novices to ballet.

A unique brand of ballet, dancing a fine line between high art and high camp.
